As we all are aware, Cupid is the Roman god of love – the scene in the ring depict a baby Cupid digging, possibly cultivating love.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFun fact: Jasperware was invented by Josiah Wedgwood – an English potter – in 1774. It's a type of fine, unglazed, matte stoneware that feature neoclassical relief decorations in contrasting colours (most commonly white applied on top of the iconic \"Wedgwood blue\" background).
