About Betty's Ring Box
Hey, I'm Betty!
Owner, buyer, collector, and seller at Betty's Ring Box.
I've been sourcing, buying and selling vintage and antique gold rings — solid gold, never filled or plated — since November 2020.
I started selling through Instagram during the pandemic and, within my first two months, had made 20 sales. That might not sound like a huge number, but I was pretty chuffed, especially considering I'd started a brand-new business in the middle of a pandemic.
In January 2021, I took the plunge and opened an Etsy shop. From there, Betty's Ring Box slowly grew beyond rings, and I began adding other treasures to my collection — bracelets, chains, pendants, earrings and anything else I couldn't resist.
In July 2026, I finally plucked up the courage to start selling at markets, and in September 2026, Betty's Ring Box found a new home with the launch of my very own Shopify site.
Here's me at one of my first markets, wearing the iconic CoppaFeel! x Missoma T-shirt.
Why do I do this?
I grew up just a stone's throw from West London's famous Portobello Market. Without really realising it at the time, I developed a fascination with antique and vintage objects — particularly jewellery.
As I got older, that fascination turned into a real love for sourcing and handpicking gold rings and other beautiful, timeworn pieces. I'm always up for a challenge, too, so if there's a particular ring — or any piece of jewellery — you've been searching for, I'll always do my best to hunt it down.
Betty's Ring Box is all about giving preloved jewellery another chance.
I believe these pieces deserve to be saved from the melting pot and given a new life with someone who will love and wear them for years to come.
Vintage and antique jewellery carries history that simply can't be recreated. The craftsmanship, quality and character found in older pieces are often hard to find in modern jewellery — and many of these pieces still have so much life left in them.
Everything in my shop is looking for another chapter and another loving home. I've made it my mission to save as many beautiful pieces as I can, one ring at a time.
For me, this is slow fashion in its truest form: jewellery that has already lived one life, given the opportunity to live many more.
Why "Betty's Ring Box"?
There's a little story behind the name.
“Betty's Ring Box” became BRB — which, of course, also means be right back. And there's something about that which feels rather fitting.
A ring leaves one person's jewellery box and disappears into another person's life. Then perhaps, years from now, it finds its way back into the world again.
Be right back.
That's the idea behind Betty's Ring Box: beautiful jewellery doesn't have to have just one owner, or one lifetime. It can keep coming back.
